Surgery, Gastroenterology and Oncology

We are delighted to announce the birth of a new official journal of the International Association of Surgeons Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO): Surgery, Gastroenterology and Oncology (SGO).

SGO has been previously published as the Journal of Translational Medicine and Research, and is a Scopus-indexed journal (1). Now owned by the IASGO, and with a distinguished editorial team led by Editor-in-Chief Dr. Guido Torzilli and Vice Editor-in-Chief Dr. Irinel Popescu, SGO is well positioned to become a flagship component of our organization and an impactful journal in the field. It also well positioned to fulfill the main mission of IASGO - globalization of medical knowledge and expertise and multidisciplinary education of young trainees all over the world.

SGO is a bimonthly open access journal, with a comprehensive but prompt peer-review process, and a rapid publication policy. Please consult the Instructions for Authors prior to submission of your manuscript to avoid delays in its processing.

We enthusiastically encourage all IASGO members, as well as your colleagues and collaborators to submit their best basic and clinical translational research reports and reviews in the areas of surgery, gastroenterology, oncology, radiology, interventional radiology and basic and translational research for publication in the SGO. High quality publications will ensure rapid indexing of our journal in PubMed, which is anticipated in early 2018.
With your collective support, this new journal represents a true landmark for IASGO, and we sincerely hope it will open a new era for our organization.
