Intestinal obstruction due to intussusception in adults is rare. We reported a case of an elderly woman, who consulted the hospital with the clinical manifestation of an intestinal obstruction. An abdominal and pelvic computed tomography showed an intestinal intussusception. Since the main cause of intussusception in adults is malignancies, surgery with oncological criteria was performed withen bloc resection of the area concerned. This article reportson a rare case of intestinal obstruction due to ileocolic intussusception and a review of the current evidence.
